With the ice climbing season winding down and the rock climbing season just around the corner, the Adirondack Climbers’ Coalition is asking everyone to please STAY HOME and recreate locally!
We are asking this for the health and safety of our communities, to prevent our small mountain medical facilities from being overrun, to spare the DEC Forest Rangers who are already spread thin, and for the overall health and safety of our nation.
The Adirondack Climbers’ Coalition is standing with Essex County, the town of Keene, the American Alpine Club, the Outdoor Alliance, and others in asking you to STAY HOME and recreate locally.
It will be hard. We all want to travel and climb outside, but now is not the time. We can do this. We MUST do this. The lives of our families, our friends, and even strangers depend on it. We can stay home and stay fit for when we can return to the mountains. Please remind yourself that this will eventually pass and the cliffs will all still be there.
